Giving Back During the 2011 Christmas Season
|Date:||November 19, 2011|
Dec 17 & 18th The Squirrel’s Nest was set up to sell all your favorites just out side Reflections Gift shop at the Milford Hospital. With the help of volunteers the gift shop is able to donate all its proceeds back. Over the years these proceeds have purchased baby hats to hospital equipment.
The Nest gave back a persentage of its sales. I have to confess I had tons of fun shopping for people on my gift list!
I also got to spend two days with Mr and Mrs Claus. How cool is that! I know this is a busy time of year for them but they managed find time to stop by and cheer up children of all ages!
Why not consider supporting your local hospital or charities this year. It’s a win win situation. You’re helping a worthy cause while keeping your hard earned dollars in your home town.
Or maybe offer to volunteer a couple of hours a week. We are all so busy sometimes we forget to make time for the simple things that would help the most.
We will be set up at Christmas in Odessa Dec. 3rd in the fire house and right out side the gift shop at Kent General Hospital Dec 15th .
